I went and re-visited the Neiman Marcus cookie recipe after my long baking hiatus. This time I actually used instant espresso powder! Me, being very coffee illiterate(whole bean and instant), I had no idea this existed in regular grocery stores. I thought I had to haul myself to some fancy gourmet shop. I’ve been using either fancy hot cocoa mixes or those General Foods Int’l coffee powders. I never realized using espresso powder would make a difference. Oh, and it does! A very tasty difference!
